1. The Puffy Chair

The Duplass brothers are great. This was their first feature and it blew me away. I could talk about this movie for hours but you should really just go watch it.
2. Eagle Vs. Shark

This one is definitely funnier than the others but the bizarre world that Taika Waititi creates brings out a lot of subtle emotion too. Being weird is hard.
3. Luke and Brie Are on a First Date

This is one of those movies that captures the awkwardness of budding relationships but the excitement that goes hand in hand with that awkwardness. It also makes you feel a little better about being a post-grad with no plan.
4. The Freebie

This movie got a lot of shit when it first came out because it shares plot details with that crappy Sudeikis/Bateman vehicle. This is more of a dramatic look at stale marriages/relationships. It's directed and stars Katie Aselton (Mark Duplass' wife and costar of The Puffy Chair).
5. Hannah Takes the Stairs

Besides being the namesake for an awesome Freelance Whales song, this is a great little indie flick about break-ups, new relationships, losing interest and moving on. Also, playing trumpet in the tub. Greta Gerwig is dreamy.
That's it. Enjoy some movies between the tunes.
